I never thought I’d be like this,
In love, but with my mind amiss,
So many emotions, widely ranging,
All of them constantly changing.

I fluctuate, I ripple and swirl,
But nothing’s constant in this world,
So one minute I’m high, another I’m low,
I need to escape it but where do I go?

I’ve tried it all, to free my mind
From ties and chains of every kind.
My knife is blunt, yet my pain is sharp,
She plays my feelings like a harp.

So here I am, spell bound and gagged,
Mind in agony, body in rags,
A cyclone’s coming, I’m on a raft,

My life was a joke, but no-one laughed.
